Proposal Information
Description:
The intern will learn basic investigatory tactics and follow Worker Protection cases through from initial interview with a claimant to data entry, investigation, and resolution. The intern will assist in identifying issues revolving around underpayments of prevailing wage rates. The intern will utilize the certified payroll system to identify potential underpayments. The intern will be trained in confidentiality requirements. The intern will learn basic safety protocols and will accompany members of Strike Force and the Albany District Office on routine visits to construction sites in the Capitol region. He/she will assist investigators in contacting workers to gather follow up information and in determining the location of active construction projects. The intern will assist in routine tasks such as scanning documents and organizing files.
