Proposal Information

Description:

The Data Analytics Center (DAC) internship will allow interns to engage in a variety of hands-on tasks that provide practical experience in data analysis and predictive modeling. They will assist in collecting and cleaning data from diverse sources, ensuring its accuracy and completeness for analysis. Interns will utilize statistical tools and software to analyze datasets, identifying trends and patterns that inform labor market insights. They will create visualizations and reports to effectively communicate their findings to stakeholders, enhancing their data storytelling skills. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to support predictive modeling projects, collaborating with experienced analysts to develop models. Through research and literature reviews, they will contribute to ongoing projects, gaining a deeper understanding of our data and the role of data in shaping public policy. This experience will not only build their technical skills but also enhance their problem-solving abilities in a real-world context.

 

Skills:

Familiar w/ Excel, R, Python, or SQL

Basic knowledge of visualization tools

Excellent written & verbal comm. skills

Can approach data sets w/ curiosity
