Proposal Information

Description:

The Missing Persons Clearinghouse within the Office of Public Safety, is tasked with investigative support to federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies; coordination of efforts with parents, left-behind family members, attorneys, courts, and private agencies in the search for and recovery of missing and unidentified person. The selected candidate will support upcoming special projects, including the implementation of new alert systems, updates to alert distribution lists, and analysis of cases and documents in their missing person tracking system. The assistant will also assist with preparing materials for the National Missing Children Poster Contest and other duties as needed.

This internship position will also be exposed to law enforcement training development and delivery as well as cold case reviews and special projects that the MPC is involved in. Our position within the Office of Public Safety will also allow this internship to be exposed to various other units that involve direct law enforcement support.
