Proposal Information
Description:
The Legal Intern in the Department of Public Service's Long Island Office will perform duties that include but are not limited to the following:
o Researching administrative, energy, and environmental law issues pertaining to the provision of electric service on Long Island by LIPA and PSEG LI.
o Researching administrative, energy, and environmental law issues pertaining to the provision of utility service by Utilities across New York.
o Conducting legislative research.
o Reviewing and analyzing regulatory filings concerning proposals to achieve the goals of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA).
o Drafting legal memoranda, letters, and discovery requests.
o Project management planning, reporting, and monitoring.
o Creating and reviewing PowerPoint presentations.
o Reviewing contracts and Requests for Proposals (RFPs).
o Assisting attorneys with negotiations.
