Description:
The Board's Office of General Counsel responds to FOIL requests and other requests for information, while safeguarding claimant personal information. Additionally, the Board maintains a physical library of materials in its Schenectady headquarters. The FOIL/Library legal intern will assist with:
-Organizing and digitizing the physical library in the Office of General Counsel;
-Responding to FOIL requests;
-Legal Research and drafting responses for requests which are rejected;
-Legislative history research;
-Obtaining materials from the New York State Legislative Library and/or New York State Archives as needed; and
-Other legal tasks as needed.
