Proposal Information
Description:
Interns in the New York State Police Internship Program will gain comprehensive exposure to a wide range of specialty units within the agency, including but not limited to Forensics, Aviation, SORT (Special Operations Response Team), K9, and other specialized units. Interns will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on training and observe daily police operations through activities such as ride-a longs with Troopers and unit-specific demonstrations Interns are expected to work 1 to 2 days per week, with each shift lasting approximately 8 hours. Specific days and hours may vary depending on scheduling needs and the units' operational activities.
