Description:
An overall experience with various tasks that are integral to the operations of a correctional facility. Interns would rotate between administrative, program and security areas to get an understanding of the various responsibilities in each division. Information on policies, guidelines and directives would be presented to increase the understanding of why programs or support functions are necessary within the facility for staff and the population. For those with a medical interest we can have nurses and doctors present information on the skills and education suitable for the field with an emphasis on correctional work.
