Description:

The Business Services Center (BSC) is a program in the New York State Office of General Services. We provide shared services that standardize Human Resources and Finance transactions for New York State. Our efforts increase efficiencies, lower costs, and support agencies as they focus on core mission activities. Services are delivered by a highly motivated workforce committed to providing exceptional customer service.

Job description

Typical Hours: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Days of Operation: M - F

Type of Work to be performed:

Process HR forms/transactions in HR systems in accordance with standard work.

Send standard template e-mails to customers after processing their forms.

Participate in team huddles and share your thoughts and feedback in a professional manner.

Interact with customers if they are missing documentation preventing you from processing a form.

Interpersonal skills - Ability to interact with and work well with others on a team.

Organization skills - Looking for employee with effective time management, understands how to prioritize assignments, can effectively track and manage workload and report that to supervisor

Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Technology skills - experience with Microsoft Suite of products (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook) is important.

Data analysis and entry - ability to effectively review information on a spreadsheet or form, and accurately enter information in the applicable HR system.

Degree Concentrations: Business Administration, Communication Studies, Financial Studies, Human Resources, Liberal Arts, Psychology/Psychiatry, Public Administration
