Proposal Information

Description:

The Student Assistant candidate will assist DMV executives, senior managers, and project leads in the development and monitoring of new initiatives, special programs, and administrative activities associated with functions of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles. The candidate will be exposed to areas including, but not limited to, traffic safety programs, identity and fraud protection, and essential vehicle and driver-related services for more than 15 million New Yorkers.

Under general supervision of the Director of Strategic Projects, the Student Assistant's primary responsibilities will include:

1. Assisting with current REAL ID, Organ Donor, Veteran, and/or Voter Registration efforts.
2. Assisting in preparing PowerPoint presentations.
3. Conducting data analyses, as necessary.
4. Performing research to support and assist in developing proposals that further DMV's strategic objectives.
5. Assisting in managing databases and input information, data, and records.
6. Performing other administrative support tasks as needed, including but not limited to updating and sorting files, drafting and proofreading correspondence.
