Proposal Information

Description:

The incumbent will conduct a research project that will lead to the creation of a clearinghouse of sustainability and climate related environmental education programming currently being offered through DEC programs. This will include conducting surveys of DEC environmental educators to learn about their efforts, researching best practices and curriculum in sustainability and climate education, and creating sample programing that can be used by DEC staff to engage the public on sustainability and climate topics. In addition, there will be opportunities to offer Sustainability and climate educational programming at DEC facilities, including campgrounds and other public facing facilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

18 college semester credit hours in any combination of the following: engineering, geology, environmental science, natural or physical science, drafting, mathematics, or surveying.
