Description:
The intern will be part of a professional research team and will work under the guidance of senior research staff as they assist in monitoring and evaluating juvenile justice programs funded by OCFS. The graduate student will have the opportunity to participate in inter-agency and inter-disciplinary planning meetings and help integrate research and evaluation findings into practice and policy.
Anticipated tasks include comprehensive literature searches pertaining to juvenile justice and best practices in service delivery, including summarizing and synthesizing peer reviewed articles and research reports; conducting quality control of agency reports; designing quantitative data collection tools and surveys to monitor program outcomes and to better inform implementation practices; analyzing program data to identify trends and answer research questions; presentation of findings to program and administrative teams in accessible language via oral presentations and data visualizations. Senior staff will mentor intern to further develop intern's existing skillset and identify new opportunities for growth.
