Description:
The Hudson River Environmental Conditions Observing System (HRECOS) is a network of water quality and weather monitoring stations throughout the Hudson River watershed. By participating in this internship, you will be assisting the coordinator of the network and gain valuable experience in the following areas:
-How to calibrate, deploy, and clean monitoring instruments
-Organizing and working with large datasets
-Designing and maintaining a website
-Working on a collaborative project with multiple partners
If the participant is interested, there may be opportunities to assist the environmental education, stewardship, and research programs at the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve as well. Eligible applicants must be comfortable working in and around water, in all conditions, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
