Description:
The intern candidate will assist DMV executives, senior managers, and project leads in the development and monitoring of new initiatives, special programs, and administrative activities associated with functions of the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles including traffic safety programs, identity and fraud protection, and essential vehicle and driver-related services for more than 15 million New Yorkers. Some activities will be centered around transformational initiatives with a strategic focus on the future of the Department and innovative customer service and technology solutions.
Intern may:
* Assist in preparing PowerPoint presentations for internal and external briefings
* Conduct data analyses as necessary to model potential operational and policy changes and demonstrate outcomes using spreadsheets or other tools as necessary
* Perform research to support and assist in developing proposals that further DMV's strategic objectives
* Monitor progress of projects and initiatives that support DMV's transformation effort and assist in compiling reports and dashboards for management use
* Perform follow-up and fact gathering as required in support of agency objectives
* Complete varied tasks as needed to accomplish business objectives of the Department
