Proposal Information

Description:

The intern will facilitate individual and group cognitive behavioral therapeutic practices with incarcerated population currently housed in a Residential Rehabilitation Unit in a state correctional facility. This will include teaching self-regulation techniques, structured cognitive behavioral lesson plans, journaling and recreational activities. Moderate writing skills are required for note taking and documentation. The numbers of hours per week willing to work with the student: 10-20 hours per week. Preferred level of education: The minimal enrollment of a Junior or Senior in a Bachelor level program, Master level student preferred. Supervision can be provided to MSW student, master level counseling student and Psychologist Master level student intern. Minimal level of education: Bachelor level with at least 90 semester hours of study completed. Master level preferred.
