Description:
The Office of Business Diversity (OBD) is responsible for ensuring that the Office of General Services (OGS) and its hosted agencies comply with the provisions of New York State Executive Law, Article 15A and the rules and regulations set forth in 5NYCRR, Part 140 - 145 and Article 3 of the New York State Veterans' Services Law and the rules and regulations set forth in 9NYCRR, G I 252. These policies are intended to promote and encourage participation by minority and women-owned businesses and service-disabled veteran-owned businesses in state contracting opportunities. Our services include:
Policy Analysis and Review; MWBE & SDVOB Goal Setting; Compliance Reporting; Compliance Monitoring; Outreach and Education; and Certification Assistance.
Type of work to be performed, typical schedule: Data entry, excel spreadsheet creation and updating of tracking sheets; navigate MWBE & SDVOB directories to produce availability listings and confirmations of certification status; conduct compliance payment confirmations; support compliance team with reviewing workforce reporting audits; perform various data analysis tasks as needed; communicate effectively with OGS staff, prime, and subcontractors via phone and email; assist compliance staff with confirming subcontractors utilization on plans; multi-tasks between multiple systems; provide as needed assistance to daily work products. Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm Mon-Fri
