Proposal Information

Description:

The Long Island Office seeks a legal intern to assist in working on issues pertaining to the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) and its service provider, Public Service Enterprise Group Long Island (PSEG LI).

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Deputy Director and supporting the Office of General Counsel, the legal intern will provide assistance with:

* Researching administrative, energy, and environmental law issues pertaining to the provision of electric service on Long Island by LIPA and PSEG LI.
* Conducting legislative research
* Reviewing and analyzing regulatory filings concerning proposals to achieve the goals of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA)
* Drafting legal memoranda, letters, and discovery requests
* Project management planning, reporting, and monitoring
* Creating and reviewing PowerPoint presentations
* Reviewing contracts and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
* Conducting negotiations
