Proposal Information

Description:

The Long Island Office seeks a government affairs intern to assist in working on issues pertaining to the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) and its service provider, Public Service Enterprise Group Long Island (PSEG LI).

Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Deputy Director and our special assistant of government affairs the intern will provide assistance with:

* Researching administrative, energy, and environmental issues pertaining to the provision of electric service on Long Island by LIPA and PSEG LI.
* Conducting legislative research
* Reviewing and analyzing regulatory filings concerning proposals to achieve the goals of the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act (CLCPA)
* Project management planning, reporting, and monitoring
* Creating and reviewing PowerPoint presentations
* Developing outreach and other public materials
* Meeting with government and municipal officials

High Level of Writing Skills

Language Proficiencies

Experience in Editing

Political Science Experience
