Description:
The Legal Intern for the Office of General Counsel, Region 3 of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, will work alongside the regional attorneys and legal assistant on projects for a variety of agency programs, including Petroleum Bulk Storage, Ecosystem Health, Water, Air Pollution Control, Lands & Forests, Solid Waste, Mining, Remediation, Pesticides, and more. The intern will attend meetings with Department staff; draft documents, including legal documents; participate in special projects; and conduct research to support the agency's enforcement and permitting work. A strong candidate for this position will have a demonstrated interest in environmental law and policy. The office is open from 8:30-4:45 daily. Part-time interns will also be considered
