Description:
* Document available and existing data relating to water quality, land use, bathymetry and fisheries data for all 11 Finger Lakes and their watersheds.
* Assist in the submission of Finger Lakes data into NYSDEC Division of Water and USEPA data portals.
* Assist in the development of sections of water quality reports about the Finger Lakes.
* Assist in administration of the Finger Lakes Small Grants Program and implementation of the Finger Lakes Action Agenda.
* Assist NYSDEC staff in conducting literature reviews.
* Assist NYSDEC staff in preparing material for updating Finger Lakes pages on NYSDEC website.
* Participate in field sampling events for the Finger Lakes Watershed Hub's water quality analysis of the Finger Lakes and participate other DOW fieldwork, if needed.
* Perform administrative tasks in support of the Finger Lakes Watershed Hub and Division of Water.
* Participate in outreach events to educate stakeholders about the Finger Lakes, as needed.
* Complete other tasks which may align with the general goals of the project.
* Complete a short report (2-4 pages) about their experience that can help guide others in pursuit of a meaningful internship as well as help NYSDEC evaluate its intern program.
* Conduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects positively on SUNY ESF and NYSDEC.
