Description:

Interns working for OGS Design and Construction will be involved with a variety of engineering/architectural tasks with the goals to develop an understanding of technical project execution, as well as social and ethical skills. Interns will learn the basics of managing and executing a wide variety of projects at OGS.

Intern Qualifications Include:
-Active enrollment in an Bachelors or Masters Engineering or Architectural program
-Demonstrates an interest in engineering or architecture while exhibiting a strong desire to advance technical skills associated with capital improvement projects.
-Competent communication and interpersonal skills
-Ability to take direction from project managers and mentors to execute project assignments
-Basic technical writing proficiency
-Interns should be going into their Junior or Senior year

Work Responsibilities Include:

-Assist technical staff on day-to-day projects in their respective disciplines
-Support a variety or engineering or architectural tasks to help execute projects
-Learn basic engineering or architecture principles
-Assist with project research, including field investigations, meetings and preliminary design coordination
-Support the preparation of reports, design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and other contract documents
-CAD Drafting or other computer modeling

Intern positions available to: Civil Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Environmental Engineers, Structural Engineers, and Architects

Work Hours: 8:00am - 4pm, Monday - Friday
