Proposal Information

Description:

The law student intern will have an opportunity to understand the role of legal counsel in a large state agency. Under the general direction of staff attorneys, the law student intern will:
*Prepare and assist in the preparation of legal documents, forms, and correspondence;
*Conduct legal research;
*Review and analyze materials related to contracts, proposed or pending legislation, Freedom of Information Law (FOIL) requests, hearings and enforcement actions, litigations, and other legal matters;
*Compile and organize documentation, including documentation related to contracts, litigations, legislation, regulations, and hearings;
*Assist attorneys on large projects, including hearings and contract negotiations; and
*Other duties as assigned.
