Proposal Information

Description:

The Albany office of New York State Governor Kathy Hochul is seeking an energetic Intern during the summer of 2023. Interns will have the opportunity to hone research and writing skills, strengthen communication skills, participate in event coordination and preparation, improve networking skills, and apply skills to address real-world issues.

Interns are responsible for a variety of tasks, including and not limited to;
* Responding to inquiries from constituents.
* Providing support for meetings, including meeting minutes and any follow ups.
* Assisting with event planning and coordination.
* Conducting research and analysis to support projects throughout the portfolio of the office of the chief Disability officer in collaboration with other members of the executive chamber.
* Identify unmet needs within the disability community which could be addressed through legislation. Draft a policy proposal and work to get the legislation introduced within the New York State Senate and / or Assembly.
