Description:
The New York State Office for New Americans (ONA) was created in 2012 to welcome immigrants and to help them in achieving their American Dream. Through its statewide network of community-based providers, ONA assists all new Americans in accessing and navigating a variety of free services and supports their inclusion as an integral part of New York State's diverse cultural fabric. ONA services support civic and community engagement, English language learning, health and well-being, legal services and workforce development.
ONA has approximately 90 contracts with community-based organizations to provide direct services to new Americans. ONA seeks an intern to assist with contract management. This intern will help with document preparation, perform remote observations of services by attending virtual events, file and organize documents, and check pre-qualification status.
This internship will be a combination in-person and virtual, Monday through Friday, anytime from 9am - 5pm.
A writing sample should be submitted prior to interview.
