Description:
The intern will work with the Strict and Intensive Supervision and Treatment (SIST) team to:
1) Create policies and procedures to establish a virtual treatment program so that clients in under-served areas can attend individual and group treatment via iPads.
2) Prepare a quarterly Research Bulletin.
3) Assist with the maintenance of a resource library of books, articles, reports, etc. related to sex offender management (utilizing Endnote).
4) Update the sex offender treatment best practices manual by reviewing the empirical literature.
5) Assist in the development of a survey of community treatment providers.
6) Assist in the development of the SIST community treatment plans by contacting community treatment providers, preparing referral documentation, and drafting components of the treatment plans.
7) Attend monthly SIST meetings between OMH, DOCCS, community treatment providers and assist SIST staff with documenting risk factors, progress in treatment, and next steps.
