Proposal Information

Description:

Join a team in the New York State Office of Mental Health that is actively working on a Statewide Plan for Mental Health Stigma Reduction. A big part of the interventions around stigma reduction has to do with communicating with large and diverse audiences (regions/neighborhoods), with messaging contained at times within trainings/webinars as well as large billboards, bus wraps, websites and social media. This intern position is focused on conducting an effective audience analysis to guide the project's messaging to communicate anti-stigma messages most effectively. This internship contains a mix of experiences; public health projects, project management, psychology, and audience analysis which is in the domain of content marketing. To conduct an effective audience analysis, one must identify the target audiences, and then analyze their needs and motivations to better reach them. This intern would start by researching the best steps for an effective audience analysis for the statewide stigma reduction project, then follow those steps using a project management approach (using a workplan) and then finalize the approach with a report of the findings.
