Description:

*Research case law and constitutional law to assist in the updating of police and law, along with discovery practices.

*Update all training materials with the most accurate and up-to-date statistical information and recent research findings to improve both the in-service and Basic School programs.

*Assist in evaluating new training equipment and materials along with identifying best practices.

*Assist with improving the maintenance of records and evaluation of Members.

*Conduct surveys and compile results using SurveyMonkey.

Applicants must meet the New York State Student Intern Eligibility Requirements in order to apply for an internship.

In addition to uploading your resume onto the New York State Student Intern Program portal, a New York State Police Application for Internship, a New York State Police Release of Information form, a letter of recommendation from your school and most recent transcripts MUST also be submitted. *Prior to beginning an Internship, the student must pass a background investigation. This process could take up to two (2) months to complete.
