Proposal Information

Description:

Intern will assist the New York Partnerships in Invasive Species Management (PRISMs) in all aspects of creating and editing short educational videos about the PRISMs work in invasive species management, research and outreach. This position will require statewide travel. The PRISMs are celebrating 10 years of funding through the Department of Environmental Conservation, and we are using this milestone to educate New York State residents about the innovative work they do. The intern will travel to each PRISM (8 in total) to film, be responsible for all aspects of the video production processes, and work with the Invasive Species Outreach and Education Coordinator and PRISM staff on creative aspects of the videos. Other duties may be assigned.

This position requires:
*Previous videography experience
*Video editing experience
*Access to video editing software
*A New York State driver's license
*Ability to work independently
*Creative vision

Preferred candidate also has:
*Environmental education experience
*Invasive species knowledge
