Description:
The Student Assistant will assist the Justice Center's TRAID Director in the administration and oversight of grant funding to 12 Regional TRAID Centers throughout NYS. The TRAID Centers are funded to provide education and increased access to assistive technology for individuals who will benefit from improved quality of life with the use of assistive technology devices. RTC's achieve this through training, demonstrations and short and long term loans of assistive technology, devices and equipment. The TRAID Director and Student Assistant will ensure contractual compliance, provide technical assistance and produce report to funding partners.
* Assist with the data entry, data review and data pull using NATADS (federal reporting system) for reporting purposes
* Draft communications with TRAID programs about data fidelity and deadlines for expenditures reports and vouchering
* Assist with drafting standard quarterly reports and inputting anecdotes for reporting purposes
* Assist with research and participation in Outreach and Education Events
* Assisting with creating job aides, training documents, and guidance documents to support RTCs
* Monitoring and responding to general inquires in the TRAID mailbox
* Attend site visits with TRAID Director to provide technical assistance and support to programs
* Attend meetings, training and work groups with Director and in absence of Director, where appropriate, the student will represent the Justice Center
* Conduct research on practices and trends related to AT and TRAID programs nation wide
