Description:
Seeking an intern with: *prior experience advocating for disability rights, immigrant communities, and/or health equity for
vulnerable communities; *interest in government with a focus on its nexus with community-based organizations; *interest
in international relations.
The Research Assistant for the ONA Ramirez June Initiative will: Assist the project manager for the Ramirez June
Initiative with grant deliverables; Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses of data collected through the initiative;
Assist in the creation and implementation of grant efficacy assessments; Develop briefs on initiative findings as well as
pressing immigration and disability-related topics; Assist in coordinating outreach events to new American disability
communities and service providers; Conduct research on health disparities for immigrants with intellectual /
developmental disabilities (I/DD).
Other tasks assigned may include administrative assistance such as editing documents, attending initiative partner
meetings and taking notes, preparing social media content for disability awareness campaigns, and data entry.
We are seeking a paid Research Assistant Intern for 10-30 hours a week for a period of five months with the possibility of
extending the internship. Office hours are Monday to Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
