Description:
Interns will be focused on climate change adaptation impact analysis and community engagement, which may include any of the following tasks: collation of qualitative and quantitative data, development of indicators and metrics, data analysis including GIS, some limited qualitative research (social science interviews) possible, research and development of community engagement processes and models, integration of qualitative and quantitative data, equity and justice analysis of climate adaptation practices and policy.
Internship positions require excellent computer (digital media), communication, writing, research, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently in an office setting. Students with backgrounds in the social sciences, environmental studies, climate science, public policy, public administration or related fields are preferred. The Office of Climate Change is located in downtown Albany, and operates during normal business hours, Monday through Friday. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30-4:45. Climate change interns are currently working remotely.
