Proposal Information

Description:

If you are interested in graphic design, digital and print layout, journalism, event, or public relations work, the New York State Office for the Aging has an internship opportunity for you this semester. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of our Public Information Specialist 2.
If you are chosen, you will be working in our small but dynamic Communications Bureau assisting with public information tasks. Your work days will primarily focus on assisting the bureau with preparation of material for print, web, and social media platforms. You'll also help us organize and update our inventory of effective print materials, and be instrumental in reorganizing our Bureau's digital data and file folders.

What You'll Be Doing:
* Assist the bureau with all aspects of preparing materials for the New York State Fair
* Under the supervision of agency PIS2, you will help edit, develop, and produce content. You will have the opportunity to assist with developing ideas, write and publish digital content for the agency's website, IG, Twitter, and FB pages.
* Assist with creating videos and motion graphics
* Participate in the Communications Bureau weekly meetings
* Assist with managing a library of print and web content, providing internal and external staff and partners access to those resources
* Assist with other tasks as assigned
