Proposal Information

Description:

The NY DEC DLF BISEH is seeking an intern to assist with several different data projects for DEC invasive species data. Projects will focus on prepping and cross-walking data from different formats for bulk upload to iMapInvasives, the online mapping and data management tool for invasive species in NY. ArcGIS OnLine (AGOL) projects might be included, depending on the skillset of the intern. The intern will work with the BISEH Response & Management Coordinator; technical guidance will be provided by the Invasive Species Database staff at the NY Natural Heritage Program.

GIS data mgmt. in ArcGIS Desktop

Writing Python scripts

ArcGIS Online experience

Relational database concepts

General knowledge of invasive species
