Description:
Student will join the Managed Care data team and assist in routine and ad-hoc data analysis. Internship is 20 hours a week during the regular semester and up to 25 hours in the summer/winter. Currently work is performed 60% remotely.
Skills Needed:
1. Ability to code in SAS, SAS SQL and SQL; knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word
2. Familiarity with Tableau
3. Familiarity with health care data
4. Ability to communicate in written and spoken English
5. Ability to work in a team environment
6. Knowledge of mapping software
Job Duties:
1. Assist in the data collection and processing of Plans' submissions of reports requested by OMH.
2. Assist in the workflow of data collection, management and uploading into databases of Adult and Children provider universe.
3. Formulate summary templates for management reports.
4. Write SAS codes and create Tableau visualization workbooks of management reports.
5. Run quality assurance tests prior to distribution.
6. Run routine and ad-hoc reports/data analyses to respond to specific questions from stakeholders/leadership pertaining to Adult and Children' networks.
7. Assist in other various report production, SAS coding, and data analyses of ad-hoc requests pertaining to MH service utilization and costs.
8. Produce maps in ARC GIS or Tableau.
9. Assist in creating market data and ancillary files necessary to migrate network analyses to the Provider Network Data Systems (PNDS) using SAS, SQL or other statistical software.
10. Assist in analyses and quality assurance processing to ensure data integrity of the network migration to the PNDS project.
