Proposal Information

Description:

The Office of Audit and Quality Control performs internal audits which provide independent and meaningful feedback regarding risks, internal controls, compliance and performance in order to assist managers in achieving their department's goals and objectives. These efforts are targeted at identifying potential savings and opportunities for improvement.

The Office of Audit and Quality Control is seeking an intern to:
* Assist audit teams in planning audit activities
* Perform audit tasks and contribute to the development of the audit program
* Research related to the programs being audited
* Communicate effectively, both written and verbal
* Perform data analysis and review documents to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the program under audit
* Document audit activities electronically

The candidate will also assist with desk reviews, spreadsheet and database tracking, gathering information, analyzing data, making phone calls, preparing reports, reviewing data entry, and documenting procedures.
