Description:
This office sends out several hundred letters a year and they are seeking an individual who would be capable of translating their form letters from English to Spanish, which would then be reviewed by the department's Cultural and Language Access office. The main task is to translate in writing from English to Spanish approximately 120 form letters that contain 120-650 words per letter. In many instances there are repeat paragraphs contained on multiple letters. There may be a few other documents/informational sheets requiring translation as well.
Additional tasks could include: Becoming knowledgeable about crime victim's rights; work on tasks related to the Son of Sam Law, Restitution, Outreach to registrants to update contact information, identify need for services, process and acknowledge registrations.
Hours: up to 10 hours per week (very flexible +/- depending on need)

Proficient writing and reading in both
English and Spanish
