Proposal Information

Description:

Under the supervision of DEC Invasive Species Coordination staff, work with DEC and PRISM staff to review, develop templates for, and begin to create new education and outreach items that compile information from those that have already been created. In addition, work to improve and organize DEC's partner SharePoint site to promote ease of use. Daily tasks are expected to include:
- Access Cornell's Box.com education and outreach repository site to review materials
- Review existing regional and statewide education and outreach materials
- Collect new education and outreach items from regional and statewide staff
- Communicate and work with regional staff and committees
- Select from existing templates and develop additional templates for various information needs
- Use templates to create new materials
- Work with website managers for nyis.info to upload pertinent documents
- Access and improve organization and search capacity for DEC's partner SharePoint site

Up to 20 hours per week. Telecommuting is possible, although intern is expected to be in the office at least 1 day every 2 weeks. Days will be flexible, work hours between 7:30am and 4:00pm; these will be determined between the intern and DEC staff at time of hiring.
