Description:
Looking for intelligent, quick-thinking and poised individuals to assist us in Division of Planning, Development & Community Infrastructure (OPD&CI) tasks. The Division needs someone to support staff in the review and approval of Local Waterfront Revitalization Programs (LWRP).
Duties include:
* Research community waterside boundaries along our coastal waters, where boundary questions have come up.
* Create and document a Guide to the process outlining how to find boundaries and general rules municipalities can apply for verifying boundaries.
* Edit LWRP development guidebook to focus on inland waterway consideration
* Assist in the development of LWRP guidance documents:
* Assist with creating a unified package of consistent formats
* Assist with development of video tutorials of the handouts
* Create content based on findings of recent LEAN process improvement review
* Create internal and external guidance on public outreach plan and assist with the development of creative outreach methods like virtual opportunities; polling/surveys; and/or stakeholder lists
* Format old LWRP plans documents for OCR searches
* Assist in the development of public outreach documents (e.g. Marketing Team postcards)
* May assist the Director of Planning and Development and/or the Deputy Secretary of State with research and writing projects.
You will develop relationships with DOS staff, local government officials and other agency personnel, learn about local government/state relations, and come away with a better understanding of State operations.
