Global NY offers one-stop shopping to both foreign businesses looking to invest in New York and to local businesses that want to export globally. It's the latest innovation from the state that has been offering global trade and investment opportunities for over 400 years. BASIC FUNCTION:
- Research
- Data Collection

WORK PERFORMED:
1. Market Research - Research opportunities in foreign markets appropriate to New York State industries, with a particular emphasis on the strategic industries in all 10 regions. Develop and maintain a document that includes market research findings. Use REDC reports as a basis for the strategic industries and regional plans for export and FDI attraction.

2. Data Collection and Analysis - Research and compile information on export trade statistics for New York State and/or on foreign direct investment for meetings and events.
3. Special Projects - Assist with the development and implementation of targeted trade and investment projects in support of Global NY such as Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) case studies, investment guides and development of virtual event.

STUDENT: You must submit your school's requirements if you are requesting internship credits.

Skills:

Excellent written & verbal communication

Good understanding of world geography

Some knowledge of international protocol

Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Internet research & basic data analysis
