Description:

Job Description Summary: The Assistant Team Member (Intern) works under the direction of the Interagency Coordinator for Nonprofits (ICNP). The Intern will provide administrative and office support for a team of three staff. Administrative support includes creating and maintaining databases, researching and compiling data, proofreading and editing publications, event planning projects, website updates, and other projects as assigned.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of this role are inclusive of, but not limited to the following:
* Create and maintain databases, including receiving registrations and managing databases for events and groups;
* Research and compile data: News stories, contact information, and other related records;
* Create and edit publications, agendas, and event invitations;
* Process incoming and outgoing correspondence;
* Answer calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member;
* Collect and distribute sector wide reports/studies and other documents;
* Assist with outreach efforts to the nonprofit sector for events and other activities;
* As directed, other office support functions including website updates, compiling and formatting briefing materials, prepare shipments and mailings;
* Collect and analyze sector data on various issues - from the size of the sector's workforce to regional distribution;
* Draft/edit talking points and other documents as needed;
* Collect and distribute nonprofit related news-articles on a daily bases;
* Work on special projects as assigned.

Requirements:
* This position requires multi-tasking skills and the ability to work independently and under pressure.
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
* Attention to detail
* Demonstrated ability to shift direction in response to changing work situations is critical
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
* Interest in working with nonprofits related agenda (preferred)
Compensation and Schedule: Internships are unpaid. A minimum time commitment of two months is required, and working hours are negotiable.
