Description:
Job Duties
* Create a database of private equity, private debt and real estate funds in which NYSTRS has invested.
* Research, analyze and summarize specific provisions in fund documents such as partnership agreements and side letters.
* Conduct legal research of applicable statutes in jurisdictions in which funds are organized, including but not limited to Delaware, Cayman Islands, Jersey, Luxembourg and Mauritius.
* Conduct legal research on fund governance matters and standards of care.
* Carry out other legal duties as assigned by Legal staff.
Hours
The Legal Department is seeking a student intern to work approximately 37.5 hours per week during the summer. Student Interns can work 15-22.5 hours per week while school is in session. Working hours are flexible in order to accommodate a student's class schedule; however, they must be during the System's normal business hours.
