Proposal Information

Description:

The applicant will contribute to the development and implementation of New York's Reforming the Energy Vision (REV), a comprehensive strategy to transition to a cleaner, more resilient and affordable energy system. Specific areas of focus in 2019 include the implementation of the Energy Storage Deployment, Value of Distributed Energy Resources, Clean Energy Standard and the New Efficiency New York proceedings.

Duties may include:
* Review and analyze filings, exhibits, whitepapers and other documents submitted to the Commission, evaluating the merits or the proposed action(s).
* Review compliance filings for existing programs and/or new Commission Orders to ensure the respondent has met the Commission requirements.
* Develop performance measures, compliance standards and implementation procedures to ensure utility customers are adequately protected.
* Work collaboratively with other Department offices, State agencies and third parties as needed.
* Recommend regulatory frameworks that best achieve the policy goals of New York REV by researching alternatives and summarizing their relative strengths and weaknesses.
