Proposal Information

Description:

The New York State Liquor Authority/Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control is responsible for the legislation, litigation, and enforcement of New York State's ABC laws pursuant to the direction of the Executive Chamber.
Law Clerks within the Office of Counsel for the New York State Liquor Authority conduct legal research, prepare memos of law identifying legal issues, prepare and draft bills of particulars, draft Full Board memorandum, review police referals for consideration of charges, interview witnesses and Police Officers, gather and review evidence, and assist Attorneys in the preparation and presentation of disciplinary cases. Law Clerks are afforded substantive and substantial opportunities to obtain pratical legal experience to compliment their formal legal education.
Typical hours are 8:30 to 4:30 Monday through Friday.
