Description:
The Student Assistant assigned to the Research and Data Analysis Bureau, Regulatory Affairs and Risk Management Division will conduct research of policy and operational issues within the NYS Workers' Compensation Board and nationally. The Student Assistant will compile empirical findings, analyze correlations and trends in data within a topic of interest, and assist with the design of statistical models to explain and predict outcomes. At the conclusion of the study, the Student Assistant will draft an explanatory report summarizing the applicability and reliability of the model. The Student Assistant is expected to work 10-19 hours a week during the school year and up to 37.5 hours during the summer.
