Proposal Information
Description:
Assist the Adventure NY team in promoting outdoor recreation to New Yorkers. Specific responsibilities include:
a. Assist with the development and transfer of content to DEC's official Pocket Ranger App
b. Identify opportunities to optimize DEC's App for best practices
c. Assist with outreach on Adventure NY events, including identifying opportunities for volunteer recruitment for I Love My Park Day and increasing outreach to targeted audiences for Outdoors Day and Hike with Us
d. Compile information on DEC's recreational assets to assist with promotions
e. Assist the Adventure NY team with ad hoc projects (i.e., research, special events, etc.)
General office hours are M-F, 9am-5pm. Specific internship hours/days are flexible.
Skills:
proficiency with Microsoft Excel
stong attention to detail & organization
strong writing and editing skills
prior experience with app development
prior experience with CMS software
