Description
Assist the I LOVE NY digital marketing team with various social media tasks in support of optimizing content on I LOVE NY's social media channels.
Responsibilities
¿ Assist with various social media needs for the official I LOVE NY social media accounts
¿ Identify opportunities to optimize I LOVE NY's social media channels for best practices
¿ Create engaging interactive content for social media and digital channels
¿ Assist with image research and outreach to support digital content
¿ Identify and source potential top-performing UGC imagery for social media inclusion
¿ Organize image assets with proper labels and tagging
¿ Research and develop list(s) of micro-influencers, local photographers and popular NYS Instagram accounts for potential partnership opportunities
¿ Monitor industry trends, research paid social advertising best practices and identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in the social media space
¿ Participate in internal team meetings, research and brainstorms
¿ Assist the marketing team with ad hoc projects (i.e. background research, competitor analysis, social platform audit, special events, etc.)
Requirements
Education level required (education required for this position):
Pursuing a bachelors or master's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Social Media, Communications, Tourism, Journalism, English, or other related field. Must be able to receive course credit as this is an unpaid opportunity.

Knowledge Required:
¿ Must have proficiency in digital platforms including social media, web and mobile
¿ Strong research, organizational, and writing/editing skills; high level of creativity
¿ Strong knowledge of and passion for travel and digital trends
¿ Knowledge of New York State attractions and recreational opportunities strongly preferred
¿ Prior digital marketing or social media internship experience strongly preferred
¿ Prior experience working with social media channels preferred
