Description:

The Office of Information Technology, DMV Portfolio, DMV Accident Information Systems (AIS) group, is interested in employing an energetic and skilled student intern, in the role of junior Application Developer. The junior Application Developer would work in conjunction with current staff.

The junior Application Developer should express a desire to work in a Distributed environment. We work Monday through Friday between 7:30 am - 5:00 pm.

General duties and skills include but are not limited to:
-Accept, respond, and be efficient with assignments.
-Able to adhere to standards and best programming practices.
-Identify and suggest areas for improvement within applications.
-Work in a team environment, collaborating positively with others.
-Able to develop an understanding of existing system processes and document them.
-Effective communication with both the user community and technical staff.
-Strong writing skills.

Specific duties may include:
-Performing system analysis and developing system specifications using the Unified Modeling Language (UML).
-Identifying, analyzing, debugging, and resolving complex coding and/or data related issues.
-Developing and enhancing applications using combination of technologies: ASP.NET, C#.NET, Visual Studio, MSSQL, TFS with Git, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, Oracle, Toad
-Following ITS and Portfolio standards and testing to ensure successful implementations of applications.
