Proposal Information

Description:

Basic Function:
Assist in the implementation and administration of new and existing Business Development programs pertaining to New York State certified and non-certified Minority and/or Woman-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs). Assist in special projects and the necessary administrative and programmatic duties to support the activities of the Business Development unit such as but not limited to: external inquiries, outreach and events, the development of MWBE training workshops and technical assistance services, as well as with tracking and reporting data.

Work Performed:
· Assist with managing customer service and business contacts (internal and external);
· Assist in programmatic support and the development and implementation of technical assistance services, special projects, and initiatives;
· Support maintaining project tracking database and other tracking systems;
· Provide administrative support, including attending meetings, preparing outreach flyers and materials for events, maintaining files, and ensuring that all tracking systems are current;
· Draft materials and assist with workshops and training programs;
· Other projects may be assigned as needed.

Education Level Required: Matriculated in accredited community or senior college in New York City. All degrees will be considered, although, preference will be towards candidates pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Law & Government, Urban Policy, Business Marketing, and Business Management.

Knowledge Required:
Interest working with Minority and/or Woman-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) or with economically distressed communities. Business development experience a plus.
