Proposal Information
Description:
The student intern will provide technical assistance to the Office of Public Safety (OPS) Regulatory Compliance Unit (RCU) staff in conducting randomized audits of the over 1 million records in the Central State Registry of Police Officers and Peace Officers to address quality assurance issues.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
* Assist RCU staff with the creation of reports via basic Acadis search functions and Advanced Ad Hoc Reports.
* Analyze registry and training certification data for non-compliance with mandated training requirements.
* Review high volume of archived training records to resolve and potential data entry errors of legacy data.
* Conduct independent outreach to regional training academies to rectify incomplete training data.
* Draft correspondence to non-compliant law enforcement agencies.
* Provide and assist with correction action plans to ensure law enforcement agencies become compliant with various training requirements.
