Description:

The Student Assistant will work with staff from the Office of the Executive Deputy Commissioner in the following areas:

Space Planning:
* Assist the agency space planning team with developing floor plans for OMH space in our Central Office. This would include measuring the space, noting furniture placement, electrical outlets, network connections, etc.
* Use CAD software to update existing designs.
* Meet with Central Office staff to discuss space needs.
* Assist with managing and coordinating requests for repairs and replacements within the Central Office.
Assist with all aspects of Central Office staff moves:
* Plan layouts of proposed office space.
* Plan and coordinate logistics for single person and bureau wide personnel moves.
* Use building management portal to request repair/cleaning services.
* Use existing services (ASSG and OGS) to have unused furniture items removed from the building.
Assist with conference room video technology:
* Confirm equipment is working properly and computers are updated in the Central Office conference rooms and staff offices.
* Develop job aids for various equipment used in the conference rooms.
Assist with the agency's emergency management/Continuity of Operations planning space and operational needs:
* Assist with developing plans for setting up various conference rooms and other space to be used as command centers or emergency operation centers
* Develop share point sites to be used to store emergency information.
* Develop job aids for emergency management/Continuity of Operations needs.
