Description:
Work within the Hazardous Waste Permitting and Compliance Programs, primarily including tasks such as:
Regulatory Development
* Assist staff in the preparation of public outreach and technical assistance materials required for the regulatory rulemaking process.
* Work with staff on background research for new regulatory proposals.
Data Management
* Evaluate and update the compliance program's Excel based inspection programs including the use of visual basic interfaces for crating correspondence documents.
* Add additional data field/information as necessary based on updated regulatory requirements.
* Update older data as well as inputting any newly acquired information in multiple computer programs or tracking systems.
Document Management
* Responsible for locating and acquiring background documents required for regulatory rulemaking packages as well as hazardous waste regulatory fee bills.
* Work with existing staff on reformatting existing boilerplate permit modules and attachments.
* Work with existing staff on updating existing compliance inspection forms to capture regulatory changes.
* Work with existing staff on producing hazardous waste regulatory fee bills.
Records Management
* Paper file management (sort/verify and cull/file).
* Electronic document management (scan/name/e-file).
* Records Retention (prepare and package records/create transfer lists/send to retention).
Skills:
Computer proficiency in MS Office

Working level data system experience
